My model in 3dcoat has only layers named. if there is not layer 0, you may not see any suface untill you import map, or actually paint on surface in anotther layer. (layer 0 keep alpha as 1.0 (no transparent) and color perfect 0.5 0.5 0.5 RGB). and use it for specularity.But it's not exactly the same degree of reflection/metalness I created in coat3d. The reason why 3d coat keep 'layer 0' as visible, it make user easy to color (overwrite layer 0) mesh. Change this to the erase alpha option and then draw onto your UV map to begin adding transparency. You will see an option labeled ‘Mix’ which represents the Brush Blender Mode. file, it has no effect when I export as png. To apply transparency to a painted texture map, go to either the image editor or the 3D viewport in texture paint mode and go to the header bar. If I export the specularity, ist just an empty psd.
